Head of Strategic Business Field Auto Sensors - Business Unit Electronic Packaging (f/m)


SCHOTT Electronic Packaging is a leading developer and manufacturer of hermetic housings and other components for the reliable, long-term protection of sensitive electronics. Our core technologies are glass-to-metal and ceramic-to-metal sealing, thermal sensing components as well as a variety of cutting edge specialty glass competences.
We are looking for an "Head of Strategic Business Field Auto Sensors" for our Business Unit EP Landshut Site.

Your tasks

  • Maintaining overall profit and loss (P&L) responsibility and accountability for Strategic Business Field (SBF) Auto Sensors together with the connected plant managers (Germany, Czech Republic, Singapore, Japan); Close cooperation with R&D, Sales and Operations
  • Defining, communicating and executing a long-term strategy & yearly sales plan for SBF under consideration of the Product Division’s goals, incl. setting and tracking of all relevant Key Performance Indicators
  • Managing existing and new product portfolio by preparing sales & marketing concepts for all related products aiming at sales and gross margin increases
  • Observing market & technology trends and changes, identifying potential new customers and generating new sales
  • Operational sales responsibility by servicing existing customers through frequent visits and product presentations, building and maintaining existing relationships, preparing and conducting complex negotiations with all key customers
  • Developing a competitive product and technology roadmap together with related interfaces; Initiating, planning and participating in development projects to ensure a profitable and growth-oriented product and technology pipeline

Voraussetzungen

Your profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, related technical field; ideally in combination with MBA or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant operational experience in B2B Sales & Marketing or Product Management in an international environment, ideally in the Automotive industry
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, in depth understanding of financial and operational key performance indicators
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead people and teams in cross-cultural projects
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, problem solving/decision making skills, analytical and intercultural competence; creativity and innovative thinking
  • Fluent command of English language
